The healing power of honey to has been extensively studied and has long been used by vets for wound care in dogs and cats. This non-heat treated medical grade Manuka honey has efficacy against common bacteria such as E.coli and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus areus and is ideal for use in contaminated wounds. This natural formula is non-toxic, does not sting and helps to provide protection, nourishment and the optimum pH for healing to occur. To use Manuka Wound Gel, first clean the wound with sterile saline to flush out debris. Avoid scrubbing the wound. Apply a liberal amount of Wound Gel to the lesion, then use a non-adherent dressing to cover the wound. Daily dressing changes may initially be required for exudative wounds. NB.
